Did you know our scalp ages 6 times faster than the skin on our face? I was so surprised when I learned about that recently! I have to say though, I do consider myself as someone who values the wellbeing of my scalp and hair. In fact, I think I probably spend more time styling my hair than doing my makeup when I’m getting ready.

However, it wasn’t only until recently when I started prioritizing scalp care, making sure that I have a good routine to maintain a healthy scalp — because ultimately, that’s the only way to get healthy hair. I’ve tried over a dozen products this past year and I didn’t end up liking most of them. But I did find 3 that I highly recommend. Read on to learn more about my current favorites.

Honestly, this is the best scalp massager I have ever used.

This multi-tasking hairbrush is called the AcuBrusher and is the world’s first to be infused with far-infrared — a technology that helps boost circulation and increase blood flow. The product makes caring for my scalp and hair very easy and stress-free.

In fact, I’ve been reaching for it when I have headaches, feeling stressed as well.

Rose tea by Pink Moon.jpeg

2. A tea that isn’t just for drinking — hair rinse, facial steam and rose water mist

Yes — you read that right. This multi-purpose herbal rose tea called Celestial Sun Brew is one of my favorite scalp and hair care products, too!

Brew the tea with hot water and then pour it into a mist bottle once it cools down to use as a spray on your scalp and hair. Or alternatively, pour the tea over your scalp and hair directly in the shower. You can click here to learn how to use the tea in multiple ways.

The tea cleanses and nourishes the scalp and prevents outbreaks of dandruff! It’s handcrafted in the U.S. with 100% organic ingredients.

SPF Scalp and Hair Mist.jpg

Scalp & hair mist with SPF 30

Over the summer I traveled to Greece and my scalp got sunburned on the one day I forgot my hat! Well, sometimes I really don’t want to wear or carry a hat around so I looked for a SPF product that would protect my scalp and hair from the sun.

One of a few I tried, I particularly liked this mist because it’s very lightweight. It is made of a blend of plant-based antioxidants that also works very well with color-treated hair. You just need to remember to re-apply every 2 hours or so.
