4 simple ways to incorporate red in your festive outfits this season

From runways to street style, I’m seeing red everywhere this season. In fact, according to Harper Bazaar, the color is the upgrade from the summer’s Barbiecore pink!

As someone who tends to gravitate toward neutral or pastel tones, it isn’t always easy to incorporate red — a hue I consider to be bold. But having said that, I do adore red so I’ve been trying to add it to my outfits more. And even more so now that the holiday season is upon us! Read on to see how I’m incorporating the color this month.

1. Grab that red handbag

Like this one from Teddy Blake, a brand that makes luxury leather handbags for a more affordable price!

This structured shape is an elegant choice in my opinion and a great one for various holiday parties.

I love that the bag added a punch to my all-black outfit with a pop of red. It’s the easiest way to elevate a basic look.

2. Slip on those red heels

I personally think red shoes look the most elegant in suede and this mid-heel slingback from Inez is the perfect pair. They’re comfortable which is important to me now.

If you’re going for an all-white or wearing something silver, I think styling the outfit with red heels will look fantastic!

I also posted a Reel on how Pinterest suggested I can style my red heels; you can check it out here.

3. Style the red sweater

Like this beautiful one from Sézane. I love how soft it is and my favorite feature is without a doubt the gold buttons along the shoulder.

Style it with black for a more formal look or with jeans for a casual holiday party.

4. Put on some red lipstick

I don’t wear lipstick often but when I do, I actually like to go for red!

There are a lot of red lipsticks out there but if you’re looking for one that flatters light to medium skin with with warm neutral undertones, my favorite is the Tango by Ilia.
