The 3 skincare products I emptied and re-stocked in 2023 that you’ll want to try this year

Happy 2024, everyone! I’m starting the new year with a post dedicated to the skincare products I’ve tried and loved in 2023. The 3 products I’m highlighting here have been emptied and re-stocked — because yes, that’s how much my combination skin loved them!

In case you haven’t read one of my skincare posts before, I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry, sensitive cheeks. My skin gets irritated and goes red easily. That’s why I tend to opt for products that use cleaner ingredients and avoid harsh chemicals.

Note: Some of the products mentioned in this blog post were gifted to me.

Super Peptide & Ghostberry Barrier Repair Cream by Alpyn Beauty

I’ve always loved Alpyn' Beauty’s moisturizers — the Triple Vitaminc C Brightening Bounce Cream, for instance, is one of my favorites. This year, the brand launched this new moisturizer that I absolutely adore. It’s a richer cream that soothes and smooths out my skin. I especially love using it now in the winter.

Rice Bran Sunscreen by House of Dowha

For a while, I actually had trouble finding a good SPF because a lot of them tend to dry my cheeks further or leave an unflattering white cast. There are only a few sunscreens that I really love and this one is definitely one of my top picks. It’s so moisturizing while protecting my skin with SPF 50+ and PA++++.

What’s more, the packaging is cleverly and thoughtfully designed to eco-friendly — it’s made of paper-like material which allows you to tear open once you’re nearing the bottom of the tube. I can finally easily use the product up to the very last drop.

Cosmic Dew Water Cleanser by good light

The cleansing step in a skincare routine is the most important in my opinion because it sets the tone for your skin that day and evening! I love this one because it removes everything gently and it doesn’t dry my cheeks at all.

It comes out of the tube in a clean, gel form but it turns into a foam once you massage it into the skin with water. I also use it as a mask sometimes by applying a thin layer of it directly onto dry skin and washing it off after a few minutes. I’m emptying my second tube soon because my husband uses it sometimes, too.
