4 bump-friendly summer maxi dresses for now and later

As many of you know, I’m an advocate for slow fashion brands and have been practicing how to consciously shop and be mindful of what I purchase. I still have a lot of room for growth but I’m also proud of my current progress. Especially now that I’m pregnant (22 weeks as of today!), I really try hard to find pieces that I can wear now but later, too, so I don’t waste them postpartum.
One of the places I’ve been looking for maternity clothes is via TheRealReal because they actually offer pieces by the well-known maternity brand Hatch! I found a black slip dress that I literally have been wearing twice to 3 times a week because it’s a very easy-to-style, comfortable piece that works for various occasions.
In this post, however, I’m not featuring maternity pieces; instead, I’m sharing 4 “regular” dresses that weren’t originally designed to be for those who are pregnant, but just happen to be bump-friendly! Scroll down to check them out!

The Hélène Dress by Sézane
This tiered maxi dress features beautiful pleats that I simply adore. The straps loop in the back and are designed to be self-tied, which allows you to adjust it as your bump grows (if you have one!).
The same dress also comes in another floral pattern but I went for this bright orange-yellow color because I love how happy this shade makes me feel!
The Cari Coverup by Ulla Johnson
This piece is really more like a swimwear coverup but because of the print, despite it not being lined, it’s not as see-through as you’d think, which is great!
The fabric is so breathable and light — it’s perfect for hot summer days. I actually wore it when I went to Palm Springs, too!

The Phily Dress by Sézane
This dress has tie straps at the shoulders which allows some adjusting. But the real reason why it is bump-friendly is because of the stretchy smock design at the back.
I especially love how the bottom part of this dress flows — it gives the piece a lot of bounce and movement!

Straw bucket hat by Janessa Leone; light blue leather handbag from Senreve (click here to get $50 off); white sandals by Sarah Flint (use promo code SARAHFLINT-BATRICIAC to get $50 off).
Under the Sun Dress by BB Dakota
This pullover, easy dress is soft to touch and very roomy. I added a linen wrap top over it to give the look more dimension.
The same dress also comes in black but I like wearing a lighter color for the warmer months.
Purple linen wrap top from Whimsy + Row.
And yes, there are definitely things I regret buying!
