Whenever I come across a dress I really adore, like the main character of this blog post from Petite Studio, I always think about how I can style it differently — not just to create different looks but also to elongate its wearability throughout the year. In my opinion, part of being sustainable when it comes to fashion is maximizing every item in your closet.

In this post, I’m sharing how I’m wearing the same dress from winter to spring.

Winter layers: Print on print

Wearing the dress as a base of the outfit (with heat-tech layers underneath), I decided to add texture to the look by playing with prints and wearing a blazer that has a houndstooth pattern over the dress. The belt was essential to highlight my waistline and to echo the neutral tones of my wool coat, beret and my bag.

This is, in fact, one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever put together!

Winter must-have: A puffer coat

If you don’t like wearing too many layers, throwing on a warm puffer jacket is a great alternative. Not only does the outerwear keep your body warm, but it also makes the entire look more casual. This outfit works great as a weekend dinner date night, for instance!

Early spring: Transitional sweaters

Another simple way to create a casual look with the same dress is adding a sweatshirt over. I adore the collars on the dress, so I especially liked being able to show them off when I style the dress with sweaters. I decided to go with a lavender sweater for a spring vibe.

Spring is here: Double collars

I’ve recently been loving this oversized removable collar I got (similar here) and although the dress already has its own collars, I decided to give it even more definition by doubling up the collars.
