I’m a fan of multi-purpose products. They save space and money, and they tend to be more sustainable. They also contribute to my goal of minimizing the amount of stuff I have in my drawers.
However, having said that, there are definitely products that claim to be multi-tasking but just seem to be “forcing” it; sometimes they are better off being created for one purpose instead. For instance, I personally don’t really like 2-in-1 shampoo conditioners no matter how many times I’ve given them a try.

The clean facial oil by Essentialist
Made in Canada, this face oil has made streamlining my skincare routine possible because it substitutes my moisturizer, too. In fact, that’s the main reason why it’s one of my 3 non-toxic favorites!
Multi-tasking ability: It works as a face oil but you can also use it on your dry scalp! I use my fingers (never nails) to massage a few drops onto my scalp to hydrate and alleviate itchiness, especially in the winter.

The “Un” Cover-up by RMS Beauty
I’m not sure how many of these I’ve already emptied but I’m obsessed with this product! It has a clean formula that is buildable and hides redness and imperfections. I love the natural finish I get from it.
Multi-tasking ability: This cream concealer doubles as a foundation. I use it with a brush for blemishes, my fingers for under the eye, and a small beauty blender for the full face.
The towel scrunchies by KITSCH
Made of soft microfiber material, these scrunchies are one-of-a-kind because they are absorbent like a towel! I love using it after I wash my hair, while I carry on with my skincare routine.
Multi-tasking ability: It keeps your hair back like a regular scrunchie while drying your hair like a towel. It helps reduce blowdrying time and hair breakage. The Hot Fluff by Jason Wu Beauty
When fashion designer Jason Wu’s beauty line came out, I immediately ordered several products to test them out and my favorite product so far is Hot Fluff. It comes in several shades and the two I got are Cannoli and Apple Pie.
Multi-tasking ability: The clean, matte multi-stick can be used as a normal lipstick, but it’s designed so that you can also use it on your eyes and cheeks! It’s the perfect product to create a monochrome makeup look.

The hydration mist by One Ocean
Free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and synthetic fragrance, this vegan-friendly hydration mist features active marine ingredients like Algae, which has the ability to hydrate the skin and improve skin elasticity. I love using it throughout the day whenever I need a refresh.

Multi-tasking ability: It also works as a makeup remover — it can dissolve dirt, makeup, and sunscreen, too. I usually use a cotton round to wipe off everything after I rinse my face.

The hairbrush dryer by Panasonic
Last but not least, my all-time favorite hairdryer — one that I’ve had since 8th grade! Well, I did replace it twice only because the previous ones were so worn out from me using it daily. Every model I’ve gotten had been slightly different from the one before with little updates.
Multi-tasking ability: The hairdryer comes with two types of brush-heads. You can comb through your hair to detangle while drying and what out of your bathroom looking like you just went to a salon.
