All the masks I used to complete my 30 day masking challenge on Instagram

On November 1, I started a 30-day challenge called #HappilyEverMasking on Instagram — and the challenge was to mask every single day for the entire month of November. And in case you’re wondering, I’m referring to the skincare type of masks, not the protective face masks.
Personally, I thought the challenge was an enjoyable one. I don’t find masking to be a hassle. In fact, it’s the only 10 to 15 minute time period out of a day when I get to have a good excuse to not do anything and simply space out and relax. Sometimes I do put on my AirPods and listen to some music or a meditation session, and that really enhances the entire self-care experience.
I’ve been asked by many about some of the masks I used and where they can get them, so I decided to compile everything here in one blog post! Scroll down to find them listed out from November 1 to 30.
Day 1: I got a pimple growing and was in need of a deep clean so I started the challenge off with the Blue Algae Exfoliating + Detox mask by One Ocean Beauty. I love the mask because the marine salt used in the formula is so great for drawing out dirt and junk while the blue spirulina algae decrease inflammation (and it apparently helps prevent acne buildup, too!) My cheeks are sensitive so I only left the mask on for 5 minutes, instead of the 10-15 minutes suggested on the site.
Day 2: Decided to calm my cheeks with hydrogel Eye and Cheek Masks by SuperEgg. I love them because the vegan and clean hydrogel masks stay on really well and I love how cooling it feels; perfect for the day after using the detox mask! Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient and it transfers so nicely over to my cheeks!
Day 3: This Anti Pollution mask by YINA is made with Traditional Chinese Medicine plants to purify and eliminate bacterial buildup. I love this mask because I think it is so great for those living in cities like New York; it helps remove dust and other pollutants from your skin (in addition to makeup). Plus, it contains pearl powder which then brightens your skin!
Day 4: This pair of Silver Eye Masks by Beauty Bio is a great one for dark circles and puffy eyes. When I travel, I don’t sleep as well the first night or two because it usually takes me some time to get used to a new bed and environment. So when I’m on the go, I always pack some of these under-eye masks with me. I like using these on mornings before I put makeup on when I look (and feel) tired. It has pearls that help brighten the eye area and colloidal silver that de-puffs!
Day 5: When in doubt, I hydrate! This DERMASK™ Water Jet sheet mask by Dr. Jart is infused with aloe vera leaf extract and hyaluronic acid. I love this mask because it is really good for dehydrated skin. It soothes and hydrates my skin and is pretty affordable at $6 per sheet; I usually buy this mask in bulk which makes it even cheaper per sheet.
Day 6: I grabbed drinks with friends the night before and woke up with inflamed and dehydrated skin — dehydrated skin leads to enlarged pores so I decided to use the Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel by Alpyn Beauty to refine pores and even my skin texture! I love this peel because it is actually gentle enough to be used daily which is also why it works well on my sensitive skin. Sometimes I leave it on for a few minutes before washing it off and other times I massage it in a circular motion to further exfoliate and polish my skin.

Day 7: On days when I want to do a quick masking session or when I’m out of sheet masks, soaking cotton pads with a toner like The Essential Mist by YINA. I love this makeshift “mask” because the Essential Mist deeply hydrates my skin and protects my skin from environmental damage, too. My cheeks are sensitive and dry so this method actually works really well when it comes to soothing my cheeks. It also gives my cheeks a dewy, glowy look!
Day 8: I have combination skin and sometimes my t-zone and cheeks just need a different formula. And that’s when I grab the Herbal Facial Polish by Malaya Organics because I can mix it with water, a mist, or a face oil! In this occasion, I blended the powder with the Hydrating Mist first for my dry cheeks, and then the Cleansing Oil and Makeup Remover for my oily t-zone. Malaya Organics is a 100% natural skincare line that creates really high-quality products. The Cleansing Oil is by far my favorite year-round makeup remover, so being able to make a mask with it is just amazing! I also love the multipurpose nature of the Herbal Polish — it’s perfect for combination skin.
Day 9: After having exfoliated my skin the day before, I’m re-hydrating it with a leave-on mask by Comfort Zone Skin — it’s one of the most fast-absorbing masks I’ve used and the immediate sense of freshness feels amazing on the skin. I love the immediate and intensive hydration it gives my skin — it’s perfect for post-traveling or just tired, stressed skin. The texture is sorbet-like and lightweight, and it literally just melts into your skin.
Day 10: The clay mask I’m using today is a 3-in-1 multitasking cleanser by Strange Bird Beauty. It removes dirt, makeup and gently scrubs away dead skin which is so good especially if you have sunscreen on. This product features a blend of amazing ingredients like ginger, ginseng, and goji berry to freshen up and heal the texture of my skin. It’s also supercharged with clear quartz and crab apple essence to help release any negative energy!
Day 11: The Advanced Repair Mask by Malaya Organics has wild neem flower honey — a clay known for its detoxifying benefits. It’s infused with blue tansy which really helps balance stressed skin. The herbal mask has a really nice, soothing scent and it minimizes the appearance of my open pores. My skin also glows more after I wash off the mask with warm water! On the website it suggests to leave on for 15 - 20 minutes but if you have sensitive dry cheeks like I do, I think 10 minutes is a good amount of time!
Day 12: The masking session on this day was a little different because I did it with the Celestial Sun Brew by Pink Moon. This organic rose tea is created to be used multiple ways — as a mist, hair rinse, toner etc., — and I used it as a mask! Simply brew the tea and let it cool down before placing it in the fridge to chill for 20 - 30 minutes. Then grab a muslin cloth and soak it in the iced tea. This herbal tea is packed with nutrients and uses 100% organic ingredients. I love its multi-tasking nature and you don’t often come across a product that works inside, and out.
Day 13: Caring for my dry hair today! Masking with the intensive hair and scalp masque by Aveda for the first time and am loving the results! It was light enough for my scalp but nourishing enough for my hair. I love this mask because it isn’t designed just for your hair, but it can be used directly on your scalp, too. Healthy scalp gives you beautiful hair so I actually spend more time looking after my scalp than my hair.
Day 14: Making my own mask today using ground coffee, honey and some face oil. This is a great one for when I want to boost circulation and reduce puffiness. But be sure to use a pressing motion to apply the coffee scrub mask. If you want to use it to exfoliate, gently massage it in circular motion.
Day 15: Using Silver Eye Masks by Beauty Bio again but instead of under my eyes, I placed them on the nose-to-mouth lines! I used to mainly just use these masks under my eyes to brighten dark circles but they have collagen so it is great for my nose-to-mouth lines as my cheeks start to fall (inevitably, as I age) and my face loses it’s bounce.
Day 16: Finally got my hands on the limited edition no-waste Forever Eye Mask by Dieux Skin, so I had to use it. Instead of single-use eye masks, this pair made with medical-grade silicone allows you to re-use it over and over again. You can pair it with your favorite eye serum or cream which means you can control what actually goes on your skin!
Day 17: My hair’s been so dry because of the weather so I decided to use the Monsoon Moisture Mask by Dae Hair to add some shine to it! This clean hair mask is ultra hydrating and so great for damaged hair — every time I use it, my hair becomes shinier and so much softer!
Day 18: Wasn’t feeling too well today and needed a pick-me-up — and nothing works better than a good masking session, in my opinion. Trying the Purifying Mask by Jurlique for the first time and really loved how it lifts away the “heavy” impurities that I felt weighing me down. The creamy textured mask uses Kaolin Clay and Moor Extract to refine the skin — it’s great for combination skin (which is my skin type). I love that after the clay is washed off, my skin looks matte but with a glow!
Day 19: It’s amazing how a masking session can make a difference — not just in physical appearance but also in mood, too! This pair of cooling gel patches by Milk Makeup has caffeine which helps with de-puffing the under-eye area and lavender that is calming and soothing.
Day 20: I love using this cleansing balm by Paula’s Choice to remove sunscreen and makeup — it always makes my skin feel so velvety soft after! The best part is you can use it as a mask simply by leaving it on for a minute instead of washing it off immediately. I love this balm because it is made with omegas 3, 6 and 9, as well as jojoba and meadow foam seed oils which really nourishes the skin while cleaning it.
Day 21: This mineral-rich clay mask by Immunocologie is created to reduce the appearance of open pores — which is my number 1 skin concern! It has anti-inflammatory properties which I love because I immediately noticed how well it soothes my frequently irritated cheeks upon the first try. You can actually use this clay mask on your neck down to your chest! In fact, on the website, it mentioned it can even be used as a hair mask, too!
Day 22: Multi-masking today with the Anti Pollution mask by YINA on my cheeks and the Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel by Alpyn Beauty on my t-zone. I have combination skin so I sometimes like to use different masks on different sections of my face. While the polishing peel works on refining my pores with 8 natural acids and bamboo powder, the anti-pollution mask purifies and soothes my cheeks.
Day 23: Double masking today with 2 pairs of Forever Eye Masks by Dieux Skin. This is the easiest and the most eco-friendly way to mask daily because the eye patches are reusable! I got 2 pairs because I like using them under my eyes and on my nose-to-mouth lines, too.
Day 24: Woke up with dry cheeks in the morning after sleeping with the heater on so I reached for the Eye and Cheek Masks by SuperEgg. My cheeks can peel from dryness or get irritated and turn red easily. I love the smooth egg-like effect the mask gives my cheeks after leaving them on for 10-15 minutes! They’re also mess-free which is a bonus for me.
Day 25: It’s Thanksgiving and I didn’t skip a masking session! Simply put the DERMASK™ Water Jet sheet mask by Dr. Jart on while cooking dinner.
Day 26: When I Googled “Best Mask for Dry Skin,” this overnight mask by Youth to the People kept showing up so I decided to order a travel size to test it out! I’ve used it several times now and love how it really deeply hydrates and brightens my skin. Usually, my cheeks would look red and irritated when the heater is left on overnight but with this mask — I love how plumped my skin looks in the morning!
Day 27: Got a text from my mom who said my skin looks healthy from the masking challenge but my lips are just too dry. So today my masking session is dedicated to just my lips, using the Major Glow Softening Lip Masque by Patrick Ta Beauty. But first, I use a scrub to exfoliate and prep my lips before using the overnight mask. I personally don’t like the gel lip masks because they never really hydrate my lips enough. But this balm-textured lip mask really softens and smooths out my lips — plus I feel like it plumps my lips, too! The best part is it’s not sticky at all.
Day 28: Featuring under eye masks by Wander Beauty but make it festive — since it’s the holiday season! This pair of eye masks is great when it comes to reducing the appearance of dark circles and since I’ve been sleeping late almost every night during the long weekend, they’re perfect for the occasion. They’re packed with Hyaluronic Acid and Amino Acids that are great for keeping the dry skin around the eye areas hydrated.
Day 29: Some people told me they simply don’t have time (or are too lazy) to use clay or sheet masks so I found a solution — a calming overnight mask that can be used like a moisturizer as the last step of your nighttime skincare routine: the Hydrating Sleeping Mask with Melatonin & Wild Dandelion Alpyn Beauty. Clean and planet-friendly, this mask is packed with melatonin which helps improve skin tone, and a huge dose of hyaluronic acid that hydrates, firms and nourishes my skin. It’s easy to incorporate into your daily skincare ritual and I just love how it smells — it’s so soothing!
Day 30: To celebrate the completion of my 30-day masking challenge, I treated myself to my favorite sheet mask, the Divine Bio-Cellulose Mask by YINA! This deeply hydrating sheet mask is formulated with Traditional Chinese Medicine herbs and no matter what my skin is going through — whether it’s too dry, irritated, inflamed (or even sunburnt) — this mask manages to make it all better!
