My favorites pairs of knee-high boots (that actually fit my wide calves)

One of my biggest challenges when it comes to buying knee-high boots or over-the-knee boots is finding a pair that would actually embrace my wide, chubby calves. Some of you may look at my photos and think I don’t have wide calves — I’m pretty good at hiding them — but they are considered wide for me height and proportionally shorter legs. In case you need it for reference, the circumference of my calves is 14.96 inches (around 38cm).

When I do come across boots that are well-made and can manage my calves, the next thing I think about is how versatile they are. I tend to go for shoes with almond-shaped or pointy toe since they help to elongate my legs. I also only choose boots with thicker heels so that I can really walk in them.

In this post, I’m sharing my current favorite boots and how I style them.

Croc-embossed Brown Leather Boots

This pair of chunky heeled boots by Paris Texas is made in Italy. Despite the name sounding French or American, the brand is actually Italian!

The boots pairs well with dresses, but I’ve been wearing them with shorts and over pants, too. It would also look fabulous with jeans but there isn’t enough room for me since jeans tend to be thicker.

I recently purchased a similar style in a statement blue color that I’ve previously seen worn by Aimee Song from Song of Style.

The Navy & White Color-Block Boots

These half-blue, half-white smooth calf leather boots are from Jacquemus. What steals the spotlight, however, really is the camel-toned cylinder-shaped heels. #AmIRight?

I’ve been wearing these boots with different midi skirts. It has a zipper on the inner side of the boot, which technically allows you to wear it over pants, but I’m only able to wear it over stockings. I do think, however, the way the boots is designed seem to camouflage my calves, making them appear slimmer than they really are!

The same pair of boots by Jacquemus also comes in 2 other solid colors:

Over-the-knee Suede Boots

This pair I have from Stuart Weitzman are called “Thighland” — I bought them in 2016 and they are still in really good condition. The suede is really soft and stretchy.

Because they’re black, they literally go with everything and anything. I really like wearing them over black skinny pants but have paired them with dresses, too.

Unfortunately, I can no longer find the exact same style of the boots anymore because I believe they don’t make them anymore. But I did link a very similar style!

Do you have wide calves like me? If you do, what are some boots you’ve tried that fit you like a glove and you absolutely love? Please share them with me in the comment below — I’d love to discover more styles!

Thank you for stopping by Happily Ever Style.
