Black Friday 2020: The 10 small businesses to support

It’s been a tough year for many businesses, especially for mom-and-pop stores and independent brands. There are several ways to support small businesses — from something as simple as giving them a follow on social media to telling friends and family about them (don’t belittle the power of word-of-mouth marketing!) — I believe any sort of love is much appreciated now.

One of my ways to show support this year is to dedicate the majority of my Black Friday shopping to small businesses. If you're thinking of spending some dollars this weekend, consider checking out some of these wonderful brands that I adore that are currently offering amazing discounts!

Daniella Shevel: 25% off everything

Imagine the softest pair of boots you've ever worn — and then multiple that comfort level by 10. Yes, that's how comfortable Daniella Shevel's boots are! Award-winning NYC-based fashion designer Jeff Wan is known for their unique lunch box bag creations, inspired by the Chinese takeout box. In addition to leather handbags designed for men and women, the brand also offers small leather goods and accessories that make great holiday gifts.

My current favorite is the small lunch box bag in brown. I like using the top handle but it also comes with a detachable crossbody strap, too.

I never used to layer socks and sandals or heels — mostly because I didn’t really know how to, but Mary inspired to try and add a pop of color to my monochrome outfits.
