The Five Things: May Must-haves
Hi, everyone!
May is my favorite month to travel! Especially to Europe. Why? Because it's right before the summer peak season and the weather is usually pretty perfect to be out and about! This year, I will be going to Los Angeles, Zurich, Vienna, and Budapest!
Because I'll be traveling most of the month, the May must-haves will be packed in my suitcase. Read on to find out what they are:
A Mother's Day Gift
If you haven't already, check out my latest Mother's Day gift guide! I don't live in the same city as my mother but this year I get to spend it with her in Los Angeles (where I'm from, by the way), so I'm really looking forward to it! I've ordered a few gifts for her already and will be packing them into my bags very soon!
Geometric Earrings
Earrings in various geometric shapes really complete a chic look! At least that's how I feel nowadays when I'm putting my outfits together. I love shopping for unique earrings, and sometimes I test out statement earrings from Rent the Runway, too.
Check out some of the styles I will be wearing throughout May:
Face Mist(s)
Because May is an awkward month for my skin, I find face mists very helpful, especially when I travel. A good spray keeps my skin refreshed and hydrated, and I usually find it very soothing and relaxing, too.
I have several bottles on hand, but my current favorites include the Coconut Rose Toner by Kopari (which I discovered in Box of Style spring edition) and Saturday Skin's Hydrating Essence Mist.
I will be traveling with Mullein & Sparrow's Soothing Face Mist because the 60ml bottle is small and easy to carry. Made in the U.S., the toner is designed for combination skin, so it's perfect for me.
Chic Mules
Now that the weather is getting warmer, I am transitioning my footwear wardrobe to more mules and fewer boots. I especially love wearing slides when I travel because of how chic they look, yet my feet would still be in comfort.
My current go-to is a beige pair with tassels which I've received as a gift from Rockport. The bottom is cushioned so the sole of my feet is protected. The neutral color allows me to wear it with so many outfits, which is another reason why packing it in my suitcase is a good idea!
Something to Wear to a Wedding
We're entering the wedding season! I have a few weddings to attend in the next few months, and I have started looking at potential dresses to wear. There are several sites that offer a great collection of wedding guest dresses and some of my favorites include krisa, Reformation, Asos, and BHLDN. For black-tie weddings, I tend to turn to Rent the Runway for gowns to rent.
Thank you for reading!
Love,
