Holiday Gift Guide: For the Modern Romantics
"And all I want for Christmas is you!"
We all have that one friend, sister (or mom, even?) who lives their everyday lives like a fairy tale. Okay, maybe there is also a part of me that secretly enjoys a touch of occasional romance and a hint of glamour, too! And that side of me has put together a list of beautiful Christmas gift ideas for that modern romantic in your life.
A Handmade Crown
I'm a big fan of Maggie Wu Studio's hair pieces. Although a lot of her products are designed for brides and bridesmaids, they now have a collection more suitable for the holiday season!
I think the handmade bronze Laurel Crown is a good choice simply because it is so easy to wear, and so easy to make a statement with! Personally, I love that it is bronze because it blends in with my light brown hair color quite well.
A Blush Ring Box
I like to give my jewelry pieces a home to belong to, especially special ones like my engagement ring, my wedding band, gifts from my grandmother etc., so even after the wedding period, I still often like to collect or look for beautiful ring boxes.
Recently, I came across this brand called Esselle SF that offers the most adorable collection of ring boxes. They come in 4 colors, but my favorite is the blush velvet and rose gold metal combination.
A Romantic Getaway
Okay, not like the entire trip (unless you can afford it), but more like you help to contribute! You can consider either buying a gift card from Airbnb or credits from an airline, for instance. In your Christmas card, suggest a few romantic places like Aruba (Why? I listed 10 reasons here) or Paris (because Paris is always a good idea), to help paint the overall picture.
A Tulle Skirt
No princess is a princess without a tulle skirt! And yes, that includes fake ones, like me. I think a tulle skirt can easily be dressed down for a casual date night or be worn to a formal event. There is also something very "Carrie Bradshaw" about a tulle skirt, too!
A Set of Silk PJs
Because modern romantics like to look pretty going to bed! Silk pajamas got that chic, feminine feel to it. I personally prefer wearing shorts or pants to sleep instead of a slip dress, so I tend to pick out two-piece sets for myself and girlfriends.
I remember gifting my cousin a set from a brand called Equipment earlier this year for her birthday, and she liked it so much she did the "trendy" thing of wearing the PJ-top-over-jeans look.
Let me know what you picked out for that romantic gal in your life!
