Star Hue of the Month: Soft Lavender

Hi, everyone!

I'm continuing my Star Hue series with lavender this month. I've always been a fan of soft, romantic shades, and now that spring is actually approaching, it's the best time to embrace them! I have a soft spot for this particular color though, because lilac was actually my wedding color, too!

Check out some of the outfits featuring lavender pieces here:

Lavender Cropped Wide Leg Pants

I saw a lot of beautiful lavender pieces from Tibi's Spring 2018 collection and picked out this cropped wide-leg jean from Rent the Runway to style for this post. It was such a fun, colorful piece on it's own. I had so many looks in mind when I got the pants. But eventually went with a full-on pastel look, featuring soft tones from head to toe.

Light Lavender Liquid Cashmere Pullover

This light liquid cashmere pullover from Naadam is a little lilac and a little blush. I paired it with cotton-candy pink jeans to bring out the lavender hues in the pullover. I also got a denim jacket on standby in case it gets chilly.

A lot of people think "cashmere" is only for cold winter days, but this lightweight sweater is made of 85% silk and 15% cashmere (sourced from Mongolia) and perfect for spring! It's so, so soft and the material is extremely breathable!

Note: I am a Naadam ambassador; all opinions are my own.

Spring-Ready Lilac Dress with Ruffles

This lilac dress from The Jetset Diaries has the cutest ruffle details. I wore the dress as it is and styled it with a pair of M.Gemi heels; this is a perfect spring or summer wedding guest outfit! I also dressed down the same piece by throwing a denim jacket over it, pairing it with nude flat mules. The casual look is great for grabbing brunch with girlfriends, going shopping or just being out and about on the weekends.

Oversized Men's Shirt

I stole the hubby's light purple shirt because I wanted that oversized shirt look with jeans. The hubby claims its "blue" and that's why he got it, but he didn't realize this shirt fit right in my lavender post. His shirt was from J.Crew (similar one here) but I've seen several others like this check shirt and this satin top that are equally nice and chic!

A Touch of Lavender

If you just want a taste of the color, go for lavender nails! I love the 08 Laven-Dearly from Essie's Treat Love & Color collection. This line is great because the polishes are formulated to care for and strengthen your nails.

Another choice would be to add lavender accessories to your outfit! I decided to go with this cute crossbody camera bag from Pop & Suki, for instance. Otherwise, a lavender scarf or earrings would be great, too!

P.S. My Wedding Theme Color

Please allow me to share some of my wedding photos with you! As mentioned earlier, lilac was a part of my wedding theme colors. My four beautiful bridesmaids wore lavender dresses by White By Vera Wang and my florist incorporated a lot of the color into our set-up as well. I personally loved how the color added a touch of soft romance to the overall setting.
